Located at 6215 Sauterne Drive in Jacksonville, Florida, our library and offices contain over 1500 sq. ft. of usable space inside. We have parking in front and a lovely tree-shaded parking area for many more cars in the back.
The SGES library contains over 6,000 books, periodicals, and
magazines. In addition, our collection contains maps, family
histories, and over 100,000 obituaries from Jacksonville and the
surrounding regions. Ancestry.com access is available during
regular business hours.
We are expecting your visit, in anticipation of a valuable find of your family treasure in our SGES goldmine.
The library building is open and staffed by volunteers during the following hours: 10 am - 3 pm Wednesday and Thursday of each week and the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. Other hours are by appointment. We are staffed by volunteers, so it is wise to call ahead. Researchers may make appointments: Jon Ferguson 904-388-8959. There is a donation for non-members of $5.00 per researcher per day.
